Hurricane Information
October 15, 2024
Hello Triple Creek Residents,
As we all recover from Hurricane Milton, we would like to pass along some important information.
- The Board has extended the time hurricane shutters may remain up until Oct. 20th. After this date, violations will begin to be entered for homes that still have their shutters up.
- Roof repairs or replacement only require ARB approval if you are deviating from the originally installed color or material. ARB approval is also not required for the use of tarps, but tarps are indented to be temporary only, and the Association may require proof of ongoing insurance claims while the tarp is in place. Tarps must not fall into disrepair.
- Any roof replacement applications will be reviewed by the ARB as Emergency Applications with an expedited timeline outside of the normal meeting cadence.
- ARB approval is not required to remove trees that were lost during the storm. However, ARB approval is required when replacing any lost trees unless you are replacing with the identical variety. As a reminder…
- You must replace any trees that were lost during the storm.
- The approved list of Hillsborough County Street Trees can be found at https://hcfl.gov/businesses/permits-and-records/natural-resources/approved-street-trees
- Street Trees are the trees found in the “right of way” (the area between the street and sidewalk). Certain varieties of palms on the street tree list require that two be planted for each street tree removed.
- The approved list of Hillsborough County Shade Trees can be found at https://hcfl.gov/businesses/permits-and-records/natural-resources/approved-shade-trees
- Trees from the shade tree list may be used to replace trees that were removed on all areas of the lot other than in the “right of way.”
